A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN LINDA JULIEN'S PUBLIC AFFAIRS
TWO EXCEED TO NOT AN IN ACCOUNT AMOUNT
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00), FOR THE SPONSORSHIP
OF STARS FOUR YOUTH IN THE ROYAL REBELS ALL
CHEER PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, teams like Royal Rebels All Stars provide athletes between the ages
of 4 to 18 with a safe place to get physically and mentally active and make connections
with their peers, and
WHEREAS, they are building a program that promotes self-confidence,
teamwork, dedication, respect, and goal setting, and
WHEREAS, the allocated $2,000.00 will cover a portion of the costs associated
with participating in the Royal Rebels All Stars cheer program, and
WHEREAS, each of the four recipients are Miami Gardens residents and will
receive $500.00; Ariyah Bellefleur, Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School; Nahla
Timothe, David Lawrence Jr. K-8 Center; Laila Timothe, Nativity Catholic School and
Ashley Cimilien, Miami Norland Senior High School, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Julien is requesting an allocation of two thousand
dollars ($2,000.00) from the Seat 5 Public Affairs account for the sponsorship of four
Miami Gardens residents participating in the Royal Rebels All Stars cheer program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby support allocation of funds from Councilwoman Julien’s Public Affairs Account in
the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for the Royal Rebels All Stars cheer
program.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
