A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO PALMETTO
FORD OF MIAMI FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3)
VEHICLES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S
ASSOCIATION CONTRACT #FSA20—VEH18.0 (2021-2022), IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-
THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE
DOLLARS ($273,833.00); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the current Public Works—Stormwater Vehicles (“Vehicles”) range
from years 2006 to 2010 and must be replaced due to high mileage, downtime between
repairs, transmission issues, and general wear and tear, and
WHEREAS, the purchase of three (3) new Vehicles is sought pursuant to the
Florida Sherriff’s Association Bid—#FSA20—VEH18.0 (2021-2022) pursuant to the City
of Miami Gardens procurement code 2-757(2), and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department request:
1. One (1) 2022 Ford F-450 Crew Cab 4X2 – W4G – ORDER 0275 (Specification
#19) at a cost of Fifty-Eight Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-One Dollars
($58,941.00),
2. One (1) 2022 Ford F-350 Crew Cab 4x2 – W3G – ORDER 0276 (Specification #5)
at a cost of Eighty-Three Thousand Five Hundred and Nine Dollars ($83,509.00),
3. One (1) 2023 Ford F-750 (F7D) Regular Cab (ITEM 57) at a cost of One Hundred
Thirty-One Thousand Three Hundred and Eighty-Three Dollars ($131,383.00),
for a total cost of Two Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Eight Hundred and
Thirty-Three Dollars ($273,833.00), and
WHEREAS, sufficient funding to replace the vehicles with newer units will come
from the Stormwater's budget account number 401-41-03-538-640-00, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager
to issue a purchase order to Palmetto Ford of Miami for the purchase of three (3) vehicles,
in accordance with the Florida Sheriff's Association contract in an amount not to exceed
Two Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty-Three Dollars
($273,833.00),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue a purchase order to Palmetto Ford of Miami
for the purchase of three (3) vehicles, in accordance with the Florida Sheriff's Association
contract #FSA20—VEH18.0 (2021-2022), in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred
Seventy-Three Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty-Three Dollars ($273,833.00).
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
