A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE FIRST
RENEWAL OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)
NUMBER 18-19-008, CONTINUING ARCHITECTURAL AND
FEES PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
$10,000- $200,000; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS NOT TO EXCEED THE ANNUAL
BUDGETED AMOUNT TO THOSE FIRMS LISTED HEREIN;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 21, 2019, Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Number 18-
19-008, for Professional Services Feesand Architectural Continuing Engineering
$10,000 to $200,000 was solicited via BidSync, and
WHEREAS, in response to the Request for Qualifications, thirty (30) responsible
and responsive solicitations were received and publicly read, and
WHEREAS, City Council approved awards to A&P Consulting Transportation
Engineers, Corp, Anillo Toledo Lopez, LLC, Barranco Gonzalez Architecture, BEA
Architects, Engineering BiscayneGroup, Inc., ReinhartBillerInc., Engineering
Craven Company, Inc., Caltran Engineering Group, Inc., CES Consultants, Inc.,
Thompson and Associates, Inc., CSA Central, Inc., Dover Kohl & Partners, E.L. Waters
and Company, LLC, Fernandez Architecture, Florida Technical Consultants, LLC, Jorge
A. Gutierrez Architect, LLC, Keith & Schnars ( KCI Technologies, Inc.), Kimley Horn and
Associates, Inc., Nyarko Architectural Group, Inc., Premiere Design Solutions, Inc., R.J.
Behar & Company, Inc., Shamrock Engineering, Corp., Sol-ARCH, Inc., Synalovski
Romanik Saye, LLC, The Beta Jones Group, Inc. and Vitalini Corazzini Architects, and
WHEREAS, the bid provided for an initial term of contract for three (3) years and
the City had the right to exercise the option to renew annually (subject to the
appropriation of funds) two (2) one (1) year periods, and
WHEREAS, the City still requires Continuing Architectural and Engineering
Services for Professional Fees, and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending a one-year renewal of award of Request for
Qualifications number 18-19-008, not the exceed the budgeted amount for Continuing
Architectural and Engineering Services for Professional Fees, and
WHEREAS, this will be the first (1st) of two (2) renewal options, and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to
issue purchase orders as needed for this purpose,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing “WHEREAS”
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council hereby authorizes a one-year
renewal of award of Request for Qualifications number 18-19-008, not the exceed the
budgeted Services Engineering and forContinuing for amount Architectural
Professional Fees $10,000 to $200,000 to those firms listed herein.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 8, 2022.
