RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RENEW THE CITY’S CONTRACT WITH STRAIGHTLINE ENGINEERING, INC. AND TO TAKE ANY ALL
STEPS NECESSARY TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE ALLOCATED BUDGET OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.00); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE Staff Summary: Background The City Council awarded a contract to Straightline Engineering for the stormwater drainage improvements and for small repairs to
the drainage system in February 2009. The solicitation specification has provisions for a one year renewal. Current Situation The drainage system continues to require small repairs to
eliminate ponding and to afford better drainage. The Contractor has requested to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and same pricing throughtout the one year renewal
period. Funding for small repairs are allocated in the Stormwater Fund. CORRECTED ITEM J-9 Resolution to Renew a contract w/Straightline Engineering, Inc.

orders in accordance with the bid specifications for the renewal period of one year, in an amount not to exceed the allocated budget of $100,000 to Straightline Engineering, located
