A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM VICE
MAYOR LEON’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT
OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00), TO HOST A
SENIOR CITIZEN FOURTH OF JULY LUNCHEON; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Reggie Leon will host a Senior Citizen Fourth of July
Luncheon, as a way to thank to the seniors of the Miami Gardens community, and
WHEREAS, this event will provide the seniors with a sense of togetherness and
camaraderie, over a hot meal and entertainment, and
WHEREAS, the Fourth of July Luncheon will take place on Friday, July 1, 2022, at
the Hamlet at Walden Pond, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Leon is requesting a sponsorship in an amount not to
exceed $1,000.00 from his Public Affairs Special Events Account to host the luncheon,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Seat 2 Public Affairs Special Events Account for One
Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), to host a Senior Citizen Fourth of July Luncheon on Friday,
July 1, 2022.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 22, 2022.
