A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING NEIGHBORHOOD
CRIME WATCH PROGRAMS IN THE RESIDENTIAL AREA SEAT
3; AUTHORIZING A DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE
THOUSAND DOLLORS ($1,000.00) EACH TO THE BUNCHE
PARK, SCOTT LAKES, CRESTVIEW/ROLLING OAKS CRIME &
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAMS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNAN "LADY" IGHODARO'S SEAT 3
PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, crime watch programs allow communities to come together to take
responsibility for their neighborhoods and to prevent crime, and
WHEREAS, eliminates measures opportunities forcrimepracticingsafety
criminals and helps others avoid becoming victims of crime, and
WHEREAS, the active crime watch programs in the City of Miami Gardens
organize monthly meetings where Residents voice concerns or present prevention and
solution ideas to potential or current problems. In addition, members volunteer to maintain
awareness of their surroundings , and
WHEREAS, in an effort to support the local crime watch programs in Residential
Area Seat 3 Councilwoman Shannan "Lady" Ighodaro would like to make a donation of
one LakScottPark,Buncheeach($1,000.00) dollars thousand to ande,
Crestview/Rolling Oaks Crime & Neighborhood Watch Programs from the Seat 3 Public
Affairs Special Events Account,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes an allocation of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) each to Bunch Park,
Scott Lake, and Crestview/Rolling Oaks Crime & Neighborhood Watch Programs for a
total amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) from the Seat 3 Public Affairs Special
Events Account.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
