A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING ONE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($1000.00) FROM VICE MAYOR REGGIE LEON'S
PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT TO SUPPORT THE MIAMI
GARDENS ARBOR DAY SENIOR HOME BEAUTIFICATION
PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Reggie Leon is requesting the allocation of $1000.00 from
his Public Affairs' account to support the Miami Gardens Arbor Day Senior Home
Beautification Project, and
WHEREAS, seniors who reside in the City of Miami Gardens have been selected
to receive needed weatherization and landscaping upgrades to their properties, and
WHEREAS, this collective initiative is inclusive of various organizations from the
City of Miami Gardens including: Miami Gardens Neighborhood Watch, Miami Gardens
Job Corp, Community Alliance Network, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors
Bureau and Florida Memorial University, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby approve the allocation of one thousand dollars ($1,000), from Vice Mayor’s Public
Affairs Account to support the Miami Gardens Arbor Day Senior Home Beautification
Project.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 27, 2022.
