A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM VICE
MAYOR LEON’S SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT, IN THE
AMOUNT OF ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY
SEVEN DOLLARS AND ELEVEN CENTS ($1497.11), NUNC
PRO TUNC, SUPPOIN SERVICEOF DAYARTOF
BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT LOCATED AT 825 NW 200TH
STREET, MIAMI GARDENS, FL 33169 ON JULY 16, 2022,
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on Saturday, July 16, 2022 as part of the city's beautification project,
Vice Mayor Leon in collaboration with multiple organizations generously served one of
Miami Gardens' residents, Ms. Vera Knight with a home painting makeover, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Knight is 97 years old who cares for her 86 year old brother, who
is blind, and
WHEREAS, this project was made possible through the participation of volunteers
of the community to help beautify her home, and
WHEREAS, in support of this community project, Vice Mayor Leon is requesting
an authorization of funds to be allocated from his Special Events account, nunc pro tunc,
in the amount of one thousand four hundred and ninety seven dollars and eleven cents
($1497.11), and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby[LW1] authorize the allocation of funds of $1497.11, nunc pro tunc, from Vice
Mayor Leon’s Special Events account.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 27, 2022.
