A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN LINDA JULIEN'S PUBLIC SPECIAL EVENTS
ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED
AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00), FOR PATHFINDERS' BACK-
TO-SCHOOL COMMUNITY EVENT; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Linda Julien, in an effort to ensure that students in
Miami Gardens are prepared for the upcoming school year, would like to donate $150.00
from her Special Events Account to the Pathfinders organization’s Back To School
Community Event, and
WHEREAS, the giveaway is scheduled for August 6th, from 12 PM – 4 PM and will
take place at NW 169th St & 22nd Ave., and
WHEREAS, essential school supplies like pens, pencils, backpacks and lined
paper are among the items that will be distributed, and
WHEREAS, the event is open to all community members. All persons in need of
supplies are encouraged to attend, and
WHEREAS, this donation is intended to support the efforts of Pathfinders in order
to create a more impactful community event in the city of Miami Gardens,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby supports the allocation of funds from Councilwoman Julien’s Special Events
Account in the amount of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) to Pathfinders.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 27, 2022.
