A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS
SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT OF FIVE
HUNDERED DOLLARS ($500.00) IN SUPPORT OF ANTIOCH
MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH’S THANKSGIVING TURKEY
GIVEAWAY; OFADOPTION THEFOR PROVIDING
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic and inflation, many households
are experiencing hopelessness and hardships, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Shannon Campbell is seeking approval of the City
Council to sponsor the purchase of non-perishable food items and turkeys, and
WHEREAS, the purpose is to assist Antioch Missionary Baptist Church to reach
their goal of providing at least 500 food baskets at their Annual Thanksgiving event, and
WHEREAS, this community outreach to families will occur on Tuesday, November
22, 2022 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 21311 NW
34th Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33056, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Campbell is requesting to utilize five hundred dollars
($500) from the Public Affairs Special Event Seat 1 Account towards the expenses
associated with this food distribution, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:

made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Councilwoman Campbell’s Public Affairs Special Events Seat
1 Account in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to support the Thanksgiving
Food Distribution hosted by Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 26, 2022.
