A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S SPECIAL EVENT’S
ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED
FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) IN SUPPORT OF THE ELDERLY
AFFAIRS ADVISORY COMMITTEE HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Elderly Affairs Advisory Committee was established in January
2006 to advise and make recommendations to the City Council on issues concerning
senior citizens who reside in the City, and
WHEREAS, this committee plays a pivotal role in facilitating effective and
meaningful dialogue between the City’s Legislators and the elderly community they
represent, and
WHEREAS, the Elderly Affairs Committee is planning a Holiday Extravaganza to
be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Senior Family
Center, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Campbell is requesting to utilize two hundred and fifty
dollars ($250.00) the from the Seat 2 Special Events account in support of the Elderly
Affairs Advisory Committee Holiday Extravaganza,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize allocation of funds from Councilwoman Shannon Campbell’s Special
Event Account in the amount of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) the from the Seat
2 Special Events account in support of the Elderly Affairs Advisory Committee Holiday
Extravaganza to be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 26, 2022.
