A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS SHOWMOBILE FOR THE DR.
HERBERT AND NICOLE WERTHEIM COMMUNITY
ARTSCIPRESENTS 2022HEALTHCARE CONFERENCE
TAKING PLACE AT TRINITY CHURCH ON NOVEMBER 3, 2022
IN MIAMI GARDENS AND WAIVE THE FEES ASSOCIATED
WITH HUNDREDOF AMOUNT SEVEN IN USEITS THE
DOLLARS ($700); PROVIDING FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO THE
CITY OFCLERK;PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mayor Rodney Harris would like to sponsor the use of the City of
Miami Gardens showmobile in support of the free, Dr. Herbert and Nicole Wertheim
Community Healthcare Conference presents ArtSci 2022 taking place at Trinity Church
at 17801 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33169 on November 3, 2022, and
WHEREAS, ArtSci is a unique, highly interactive experience that offers children in
grades K-12 first-hand encounters into a world of career choices many may have never
considered or heard of, and
WHEREAS, Volunteer professionals will guide the children through exciting
demonstrations allowing them to experience different potential careers from the arts to
science, and
WHEREAS, the event offers elementary, middle, and high school students expert
advice on how to become competitive candidates within a wide variety of popular career
fields,
WHEREAS, They will be given guidance and suggestions on what to do, as early
as elementary school, and what courses to take in middle school and high school, to
prepare for college or vocational school, and
WHEREAS, students will also be provided with information on higher education,
financial aid, and tips for applying to college or vocational school, and
WHEREAS, College students and parents also are welcome to attend, and
WHEREAS, Miami Gardens students will greatly benefit from being able to take
part in this free event, as it will help to further expose them to a variety of career paths,
and provide guidance on how to enter into those fields they may have an interest in,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize the use of the City Of Miami Gardens showmobile for the Dr. Herbert
and Nicole Wertheim Community Healthcare Conference Presents Artsci 2022 taking
place at Trinity Church on November 3, 2022 in Miami Gardens and waive the fees
associated with its use in the amount of seven hundred dollars ($700).
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 12, 2022.
