A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING QUOTE (Q) NO. 22-
004 BUS SHELTER METAL POST & CROSS MEMBERS TO
AFFORDABLE METAL INC. AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS NOT TO EXCEED
THE ANNUAL BUDGETED AMOUNT; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on August 4, 2022, City Staff issued Quote (Q) No. 22-004 Bus
Shelter Metal Post & Cross Members was solicited via Bidsync, inviting qualified firms to
submit proposals to provide Bus Shelter Metal Post & Cross Members services, and
WHEREAS, two (2) proposals were received from Affordable Metal, Inc., and TCS
Empire, Inc., and each proposal was publicly read, and
WHEREAS, pricingstafftabulatedCity both conductedandsheets
responsiveness and responsibility reviews of the firms and deemed Affordable Metal, Inc.,
as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, attached hereto as Exhibit “A”, and
WHEREAS, sufficient funding for this expense will come from account number
100-41-06-541-460-00, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council award Quote (Q) No. 22-
004 Bus Shelter Metal Post & Cross Members to Affordable Metal, Inc., and authorize the
City Manager to issue purchase orders not to exceed the annual budgeted amount,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby awards Quote (Q) No. 22-004 Bus Shelter Metal Post & Cross Members to
Affordable Metal, Inc., and authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders not to
exceed the annual budgeted amount.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 12, 2022.
