A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THAT CERTAIN
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH THE
FEDERATION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ATTACHED HERETO
AS EXHIBIT "A;" AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN ATTEST THE SAME;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 6, 2012, the Florida Public Employees Relations
Commissions certified Federation of Public Employees (FPE), a Division of the National
Federation of Public and Private Employees, AFL-CIO as a bargaining unit (Certification
Number 1787), and
WHEREAS, certain maintenance and aide employees are included as members
of the bargaining unit, and
WHEREAS, the City Council and the FPE's current agreement was for a three
year period October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2020, and
WHEREAS, Management for the City of Miami Gardens, Florida and the Federal
of Public Employees (FPE) have agreed to a proposed three (3)-year Collective
Bargaining Agreement, commencing on October 1 , 2020 and ending on September 20,
2023,
Section 1 : ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby ratifies that certain three (3)-year Collective Bargaining Agreement, commencing
on October 1 , 2020 and ending on September 20, 2023 with the Federal Public
Employees.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON D .CEMBER 9, 2020.
