A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE SIXTH
RENEWAL OF INVITATION TO BID (ITB) NUMBER 13-14-039,
FOR VENDING MACHINE SERVICES – REVENUE SHARING,
TO MH MANAGEMENT, INC.; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION
OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 24, 2014, Invitation To Bid (ITB) Number 13-14-039, Vending
Machine Services – Revenue Sharing was posted on DemandStar, the solicitation
opened on August 14, 2014, and two (2) bids were received and publicly read, and
WHEREAS, on October 8, 2014, under Resolution Number 2014-175-2154, City
Council approved the award of Invitation To Bid (ITB) Number 13-14-039, Vending
Machine Services – Revenue Sharing to MH Management, Inc., and authorized the City
Manager to execute an agreement with the vendor MH Management, Inc., and
WHEREAS, under the Agreement with MH Management, Inc., the City will receive
twenty-five percent (25%) of the monthly gross revenue collected from the vending
machines, collected under line item 001-00-00-349-101-00, and
WHEREAS, the initial term of the agreement was for a period of three (3) years
with an option to renew annually, and
WHEREAS, the current contract allows for annual renewals and this is the sixth
contract renewal, and
WHEREAS, City Staff is recommending that the City Council authorize the sixth
renewal of Invitation To Bid (ITB) Number 13-14-039, for Vending Machine Services –
Revenue Sharing, to MH Management, Inc., for vending machine services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the sixth renewal of Invitation To Bid (ITB) Number 13-14-039, for
Vending Machine Services – Revenue Sharing, to MH Management, Inc.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
