A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, RE-APPOINTING QUENTIN
MORGAN AS SPECIAL MASTER FOR A TWO (2) YEAR TERM;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens has established a Code Enforcement
Special Master Program in the City, and
WHEREAS, appeals of all code enforcement citations and stormwater utility fees
are heard by Special Masters, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-23(a) of the City’s Code of Ordinances, Special
Masters appointments are recommended by the City Attorney, but are appointed by City
Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney recommends the City Council re-appoint Quentin
Morgan to serve as Special Master for an additional two (2) year term,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2. APPOINTMENT: The Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby
appoints Quentin Morgan to serve as Special Master for a two (2) year term effective from
the date of this Resolution.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 14, 2022.
