A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA,
ALLOCATING SIX HUNDRED NINETY-NINE DOLLARS AND
SEVENTY-EIGHT CENTS ($699.78) FROM VICE MAYOR
KATRINA WILSON’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT TO
SUPPORT I WILL I CAN FOUNDATION HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE,
NUNC PRO TUNC TO DECEMBER 22, 2022, PROVIDING FOR
THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, I Will I Can Foundation, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization that endeavors to serve people by helping them realize their true potential.
WHEREAS, this foundation is set up to help every individual realize that there is a
mechanism required to change up self and embodies a community of individuals who
believe in life as an opportunity to dream and achieve.
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Katrina Wilson is requesting the City Council authorize
funds to support the I Will I Can Foundation Holiday Toy Drive, and
WHEREAS, On Thursday, December 22, 2022, Vice Mayor Katrina Wilson made
a donation to support I Will I Can Foundation which contributed towards I-pads,
basketballs, dolls, games, and more for students at Myrtle Grove K-8 Center. Over 300
students were able to take home toys before the Holiday holiday, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Wilson is requesting the City Council authorize the
allocation of six hundered ninety-nine dollars and seventy-eight cents ($699.78) from the
Seat 4 Public Affairs Account to support the I Will I Can Foundation Holiday Toy Drive
Nunc Pro Tunc to December 22, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of six hundered ninety-nine dollars and seventy-eight
cents ($699.78) from the Seat 4 Public Affairs Account to support the I Will I Can
Foundation Holiday Toy Drive Nunc Pro Tunc to December 22, 2022.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
