A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING ONE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($1,000) FROM VICE MAYOR KATRINA WILSON’S
PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT TO SUPPORT MIAMI CAROL CITY
SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Miami Carol City Senior High School prepares students in areas far
beyond the classroom curriculum where students are able to research, listen, collaborate,
lead, be creative and innovative, and put forth consistent and prolonged time, effort, and
hard work into activities, classes, and subjects that matter, and
WHEREAS, in continuing efforts to support Miami Carol City Senior High School’s
programs, clubs and school-wide initiatives that underscore the School’s pursuit of
academic excellence, Vice Mayor Katrina Wilson is requesting that the City Council
authorize the allocation of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) from the Seat 4 Public Affairs
Account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of one thousand dollars $1,000 from the Seat 4 Public
Affairs account to support Miami Carol City Senior High School’s programs, clubs and
school-wide initiatives.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 25, 2023.
