A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN REGGIE LEONS’ PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIAL
EVENTS ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF EIGHT HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($800), TO SUPPORT THE 7TH ANNUAL DADE
COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS DISTRICT 1 BLACK HISTORY
SHOWCASE AND DINNER AT NORLAND SENIOR HIGH
SCHOOL. PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Dade County Public Schools District 1 will host its’ 7th annual Black
History Showcase and Dinner, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon is requesting a sponsorship not to exceed
the amount of $800 from his Public Affairs Special Events account to support the District
1 7th Annual Black History Showcase and Dinner, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby[LW1] allocates funds from Seat 2 Public Affairs Special Events Account for Eight
Hundred Dollars ($800), to support Dade County Public Schools District 1 7th annual
Black History Showcase and Dinner.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 8, 2023.
