A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, WAIVING PARK RENTAL FEES
FOR CAROL CITY PARK AND AUTHORIZING THE USE AND
WAIVER OF ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS SHOWMOBILE FOR A TOTAL
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED
AND NINE DOLLARS ($2,909.00) FOR THE CHIEF HALL LLC'S
CHIEF HALL PICNIC ON SATURDAY, APRIL 8, 2023;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Chief Hall LLC (the alumni association of Miami Carol City Senior
High School) would like to host the Chief Hall Picnic on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from
12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Miami Carol City Park, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Rodney Harris is requesting the rental fees ($1,709.00)
associated with the use of Miami Carol City Park be waived, and that the use and waiver
of fees ($1,200.00) associated with the use of the City of Miami Gardens showmobile be
granted for the Chief Hall LLC's Chief Hall Picnic, and
WHEREAS, the event brings together the community as well as the alumni and
supporters of Miami Gardens' own Miami Carol City Senior High School for an enjoyable,
family-friendly event that is free to the public, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize the rental fees ($1,709.00) associated with the use of Miami Carol City
Park be waived, and that the use and waiver of fees ($1,200.00) associated with the use
of the City of Miami Gardens showmobile be granted for the Chief Hall LLC's Chief Hall
Picnic.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MARCH 8, 2023.
