A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN STEPHENS’ SPECIAL EVENTS/ PUBLIC
AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500) IN SUPPORT OF THE CAROL
CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL PTSA; PROVIDING FOR
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CITY CLERK; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Carol City Middle School seeks to promote a safe, orderly, caring, and
supportive environment, and
WHEREAS, Carol City Middle School strives to have their parents, teachers, and
community stakeholders become actively involved in their students' learning, and
WHEREAS, As the association for parents, teachers and students, the mission of
Carol City Middle School PTSA, is to develop a collaborative environment that enhances
and supports the overall welfare and education of their children, and
WHEREAS, Membership and contributions to the PTSA advance school and
parent/teacher initiatives, such as, funding school modernization to student resources to
teacher activities, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Robert Stephens is requesting funds from his Special
Events/ Public Affairs account in the amount of $500 to support the Carol City Middle
School PTSA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) from the Seat 6
Special Events/Public Affairs Account to support the Carol City Middle School PTSA.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON APRIL 12, 2023.
