A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING INVITATION TO BID
(ITB) NO. 22-23-009 FOR CHEERLEADING UNIFORMS TO
VARSITY SPIRIT FASHION AND SUPPLIES, LLC.;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE
ORDER(S) AS NEEDED NOT TO EXCEED THE BUDGETED
AMOUNT OF FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
SEVENTY-ONE DOLLARS AND TWENTY-FIVE CENTS
($55,571.25); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on January 19, 2023, Invitation to Bid (ITB) Number 22-23-009 for
Cheerleading Uniforms was solicited via BidSync, and
WHEREAS, the ITB was publicly opened on February 22, 2023, one (1) bid was
received from Varsity Spirit Fashion and Supplies, LLC, and
WHEREAS, City staff tabulated the pricing sheet and conducted a responsiveness
and responsibility review of the firm and Varsity Spirit Fashion and Supplies, LLC., was
deemed a responsive, responsible bidder, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council award ITB No. 22-23-009
for Cheerleading Uniforms to Varsity Spirit Fashion and Supplies, LLC., and authorize the
City Manager to issue Purchase Order(s) as needed not to exceed the budgeted amount
of Fifty-Five Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-One Dollars and Twenty-Five Cents
($55,571.25),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby awards Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 22-23-009 for Cheerleading Uniforms to Varsity
Spirit Fashion and Supplies, LLC. Further, the City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue Purchase Order(s) as needed not to exceed
the budgeted amount of Fifty-Five Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-One Dollars and
Twenty-Five Cents ($55,571.25).
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
