A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, WAIVING ALL COSTS
ASSOCIATED WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT SUPPORT FOR
CHIEF HALL PICNIC HELD ON SATURDAY, APRIL 8, 2023, NUN
PRO TUNC; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Chief Hall LLC (the alumni association of Miami Carol City Senior
High School) hosted the Chief Hall Picnic on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 12:00 pm to
7:00 pm, at Miami Gardens' Walt Frazier Park located at (3201 NW 185 street Miami
Gardens, FL 33056), and
WHEREAS, The Chief Hall Picnic event brings together the community, as well as
the alumni and supporters of Miami Garden's own Miami Carol City Senior High School
for an enjoyable, family-friendly event that is free to the public, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Rodney Harris is requesting a waiver of all costs associated
with Law enforcement support for the event, nun pro tunc, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize the total cost of twenty-two thousand three hundred eighty-nine dollars
and sixteen cents ($22,389.16) associated with Law enforcement support for Chief Hall
LLC’s Chief Hall Picnic be waived.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON APRIL 26, 2023.
