A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST,
RESPECTIVELY, THOSE CERTAIN LEASE AGREEMENTS
WITH HARLEY-DAVIDSON LEASING INC. FOR LAW
ENFORCEMENT MOTORCYCLES FOR A PERIOD OF THREE
(3) YEARS FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE
BUDGETED TOTAL AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND SIX
HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN DOLLARS AND FIFTEEN CENTS
($3,618.15) PER MONTH; COPIES OF WHICH ARE ATTACHED
HERETO AS EXHIBIT “A”; EXHIBIT “B,” EXHIBIT “C,” EXHIBIT
“D,”AND EXHIBIT “E”; PROVIDING FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO
THE CITY CLERK; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Miami Gardens Police Department is in need of five (5) Harley-
Davidson motorcycles for its Motorcycle Unit to replace current motorcycles that are no
longer under warranty and costly to repair, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department completed a review of purchasing additional
motorcycles or leasing and deemed leasing motorcycles to be a better value than
purchasing, and
WHEREAS, the lease agreements will be for a three (3) year period, and
WHEREAS, the total one-time up front cost for all five (5) motorcycles will be
$4,923.15, which includes the first month payment of $723.63 plus the acquisition fee of
$200.00, and title registration fee of $61.00. Subsequently, the monthly lease payments
for all five (5) motorcycle will be a total of $3,618.15 monthly, and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends leasing five (5) motorcycles from Harley-
Davidson Leasing Inc. to be used by the Police Department Motorcycle Unit,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute and attest, respectively,
those certain Lease Agreements with Harley-Davidson Leasing Inc. for Law Enforcement
Motorcycles, for a period of three (3) years for a total amount not to exceed the budgeted

amount of Three Thousand Six Hundred and Eighteen Dollars and Fifteen Cents
($3,618.15) per month, copies of which are attached hereto as Exhibit “A,” Exhibit “B,”
Exhibit “C,” Exhibit “D,” and Exhibit “E.”
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
