A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE FIRST
RENEWAL OF ITB NO. 19-20-014, PURCHASE AND DELIVERY
STANDARD ISSUE WEAPONS WITH GT DISTRIBUTORS, INC.
FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS POLICE DEPARTMENT;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE
ORDERS NOT TO EXCEED THE ANNUAL BUDGETED
AMOUNT; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 19, 2020, Invitation to Bid (ITB) Number 19-20-014,
Purchase and Delivery Standard Issue Weapons for the City of Miami Gardens Police
Department was advertised via BidSync, and
WHEREAS, the ITB opened on June 4, 2020, and one (1) firm submitted a bid in
response to the advertised bid, and
WHEREAS, on July 22, 2020, the City of Miami Gardens City Council approved
the award, and
WHEREAS, the current contract allows two (2) one (1) year renewals and this will
be the first (1st) of two (2) contract renewal options, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council authorizes the first
renewal of the contract for Invitation to Bid No. 19-20-014, Purchase and Delivery
Standard Issue Weapons for the City of Miami Gardens Police Department, and authorize
the City Manager to issue purchase orders, as needed, not to exceed the allocated budget
amount,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the first renewal of the contract for Invitation to Bid No. 19-20-014,
Purchase and Delivery Standard Issue Weapons for the City of Miami Gardens Police
Department. Further, the City Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby authorizes the
City Manager to issue purchase orders, as needed, not to exceed the allocated budget
amount.

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MAY 10, 2023.
