A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS
SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) IN SUPPORT
OF THE MIAMI DADE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WOMEN’S
BUSINESS COUNCIL’S LITTLE BLACK DRESS & PEARLS
FUNDRAISING EVENT; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce Women's Business Council
(MDCC WBC) is dedicated to continuous improvement of the Chamber's progressive
impact on South Florida's women business community, and
WHEREAS, The primary mission of this committee is to educate, empower,
mentor, and strengthen the wealth-creating capacity of members while building strategic
alliances, coalitions and affiliations, and
WHEREAS, The MDCC WBC is a valuable resource for women in business and a
progressive influence on South Florida's women's business community, and
WHEREAS, Through its programs and services, the council helps members
succeed in business and create a more prosperous future for themselves and their
families, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Shannon Campbell is requesting to contribute one
thousand dollars ($1,000) in support of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce Women's
Business Council Little Black Dress and Pearls event, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of one thousand dollars ($1000) from Councilwoman
Shannon Campbell’s Public Affairs Special Events account in support of the MDCC
WBC’s Little Black Dress & Pearls fundraising event.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
