A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ADD A 4TH ROUTE TO IMPROVE THE WAIT
TIME FOR THE TROLLEY SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE REVISED TROLLEY ROUTE MAP; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the current Trolley Program, MG Express, has three (3) routes and
operates daily between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, and
WHEREAS, the City approved and budgeted for a fourth trolley route to help bring
improvement to the City’s Trolley Program, and
WHEREAS, in January 2023, a study of the program was initiated with the goal of
increasing coverage, reducing headways and providing an overall much more effective
system, and
WHEREAS, the study resulted in proposed modifications to the existing routes and
a proposed new route, and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes will allow the MG Express to improve the
headway on all of the current routes and overall service quality, and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends approval of the proposed changes to improve the
City’s Transit service,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to add a 4th route to improve the wait time for the
Trolley Service in accordance with the Revised Trolley Route Map.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 28, 2023.
