A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING INVITATION TO BID
(ITB) NO. 21-22-020- CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS MUNICIPAL
COMPLEX IRRIGATION CONVERSION-RETROFIT TO THE
IRRIGATION GUY, LLC.; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED THE BUDGETED AMOUNT; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, City originally installed a “Drip Irrigation,” system, where water runs
through small buried permeable plastic pipes, or lying slightly above the ground next to
plants and vegetation, and
WHEREAS, on April 10, 2023 staff issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 21-22-020-
City of Miami Gardens Municipal Complex Irrigation Conversion-Retrofit was solicited via
Bidsync, inviting qualified firms to submit proposals to provide irrigation conversion-retrofit
adjustments, and
WHEREAS, on May 8, 2023 three (3) proposals were received from G. Concrete
Development , Inc., Research Irrigation Inc., and The Irrigation Guy, LLC, and
WHEREAS, each proposal was publicly read, and
WHEREAS, City staff reviewed proposals and tabulated both pricing sheets and
conducted responsiveness and responsibility reviews of the firms and deemed The
Irrigation Guy, LLC, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends that the award be made to The Irrigation Guy
LLC,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby awards Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 21-22-020 City of Miami Gardens Municipal
Complex Irrigation Conversion-Retrofit to The Irrigation Guy, LLC. Further, the City
Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue
purchase orders in an amount not to exceed the budgeted amount.

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 28, 2023.
