A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING ONE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($1,000.00) FROM COUNCILMAN REGGIE LEON’S
PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT TO SUPPORT
THE ROBERT SHARP TOWER TENANTS SOCIAL CLUB EAST
AND WEST BUILDING; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Roberts Sharp Towers is a low-income senior independent living
facility, and
WHEREAS, this facility fosters a family environment for seniors to feel welcome
and safe, and
WHEREAS, the Robert Sharpe Towers needs monthly activities, snacks, and
supplies for holiday celebrations, and
WHEREAS, this assistance will make a difference in The Robert Sharp Towers
and put smiles on the faces of the seniors, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon is requesting One Thousand Dollars
($1,000.00) from his Public Affairs Special Events account for the purpose of supporting
the Robert Sharp Towers Tenant Social Club East and West,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) from Councilman Reggie Leon’s
Public Affairs Special Events Account to support The Robert Sharp Tower Tenants Social
Club East and West Building.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 26, 2023.
