A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, WAIVING RENTAL FEES AND
SERVICE CHARGES IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE THOUSAND
FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY-FOUR DOLLARS ($1,494.00),
FOR THE USE OF BUNCHE PARK RECREATIONAL COMPLEX
AND PAYING ASSOCIATED STAFFING COSTS; ALLOCATING
TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($264.00) FROM
THE SEAT 6 SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT TO COVER THE
COSTS FOR STAFF SERVICES ON DAY TWO OF THE BOOK
FAIR, NUN PRO TUNC TO SUNDAY, JULY 23, 2023 IN
SUPPORT OF COUNCILMAN STEPHENS AND MOLDING
MESSENGERS TWO-DAY BOOK FAIR; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Molding Messengers is an innovative publishing firm, that assist new
and established authors, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Two-Day Book Fair, is to promote literacy
programs in the community beyond the classroom, and
WHEREAS, this event also highlights local authors, and provides resources to
inspiring student writers, and
WHEREAS, in partnership with the City of Miami Gardens, two (2) individuals will
be awarded with a publishing agreement with Molding Messengers, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Robert Stephens is requesting total cost of rental and
staffing fees to be provided in-kind for the second day of the book on Sunday, July 23,
2023 and the allocation of funds from his Special Events account in the amount of Two
Hundred and Sixty-Four Dollars ($264.00), to support his partnership with Molding
Messengers Book Fair Nunc Pro Tunc,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby waives rental fees and service charges in the amount of One Thousand Four
Hundred and Ninety-Four Dollars ($1,494.00), for the use of Bunche Park Recreational
Complex and paying associated staffing costs, and allocates Two Hundred and Sixty-

Four Dollars ($264.00) from the Seat 6 Special Events Account to cover the costs for staff
services on day two of the book fair to held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 Nunc Pro Tunc, in
support of Councilman Stephens and Molding Messengers Two-Day Book Fair.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 26, 2023.
