1, 2009, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2010; ESTABLISHING THE ROLLBACK RATE; SETTING A DATE AND TIME FOR A FINAL PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE FINAL MILLAGE RATE; PROVIDING FOR DIRECTIONS TO THE
CITY CLERK; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 1
2 Staff Summary: Millage Resolution Florida statutes provide the procedure for the adoption of the City’s budget and proposed millage. At the first advertised budget hearing scheduled
for September 8th, the City Council must adopt a preliminary millage resolution. City Council adopted a tentative millage rate at your 2nd July meeting. This rate was the calculated
roll-back rate of 5.3734. A final millage resolution will be before the City Council at its September 21st meeting. Recommendation: RECOMMENDATION: I recommend that City Council approve
the preliminary millage resolution setting the millage rate for FY 09-10 at 5.3734 mills per $1,000 taxable value.. Attachment:
