Department: Code Compliance Division Short Title: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF RE‐OCCUPANCY PERMIT;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE Staff Summary: Background The Re‐Occupancy Ordinance was approved and passed by Council on January 28th 2009.
A resolution has been drafted for the establishment of fees for a Re‐occupancy Permit: 1. Publicity and Community Outreach Campaign • A Brochure Handout/Mailer was established And distributed
to local realtor associations • Contact was made with Realtors, Title Companies, Lawyers, Banks, and related businesses, Miami Gardens and surrounding area • Advertisements were placed

1515 NW 167 Street, Building 5 Suite 200 Miami Gardens, Florida 33169 2. Establishment of Administrative Procedures The re‐occupancy program prompted the creation of a new permit type
in the Eden permitting system and the creation of policies and procedures for the inspection and administration of the program. Staff has completed all of the above mentioned internal
processes and is now ready to implement the program. Current Situation Regarding fiscal impact of this program, the fees created for the Re‐Occupancy Permit is as follows: • $75.00 application
processing fee for 5 to 7 business days • $175.00 application processing fee for 3 days The attached resolution requests Council approval, to implement the fee schedule for the re‐occupancy
