OCE AND REGINE MONESTIME AS SPECIAL MASTERS; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE Summary: The City previously established a Code Enforcement Special Master Program in the City to preside over appeals of code enforcement citations, stormwater utility fees and red light camera hearings. Recently, one of the City’s Special Masters, Jimmy Morales, had to resign from his position. In light of this fact and the fact that due to the Dangerous Intersection Ordinance, the City needs additional Special Masters, the City Attorney is recommending the appointment of additional Special Masters. Natalie E. Oce has served as Special Master for the City of Miami Gardens in the past, and the City Attorney is recommending that she be reappointed as a Special Master to serve a term ending December 10, 2010. Regine Monestime is well versed in municipal matters and currently serves as a Special Master for the City of Sunny Isles Beach and as the City Attorney for the City of Florida City.
