TO DESIGN, PROVIDE, AND INSTALL THE COMPLETE CARD ACCESS, CAMERA, AND SECURITY INTEGRATION SYSTEM FOR THE MIAMI GARDENS COMMUNITY CENTER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY‐SEVEN THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED AND SEVENTY‐FOUR DOLLARS AND 80/100 CENTS ($67,474.80); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Staff Summary: Current Situation City staff, in conjunction with CPZ Architects, developed plans and specifications for the installation of Security and Access Control Systems for the Miami Gardens Community Center. These systems are compatible with the City’s current security monitoring system that can communicate with the Building Integration System (BIS) and equipment located at our Police Department. When completed, the Center will require security monitoring and intrusion control including cameras for surveillance, door contacts, and secured entry access by card readers. The Procurement Department and Capital Improvement Division identified the firm Access Limited Inc. for the provision and installation of these systems utilizing the GSA 84 continuing service contract. Plans were developed and Access Limited Inc. provided pricing in accordance with the GSA Agreement No: GS07F7820C for the equipment and services identified in the attached proposal. ITEM J-12) CONSENT AGENDA RESOLUTION Contract w/Access Limited, Inc. 1515 NW 167 Street, Building 5 Suite 200 Miami Gardens, Florida 33169 The work required to supply and install the finished equipment is $67,474.80 as described in the attached proposal. The attached resolution requests that City Council approve the proposal submitted by Access Limited, Inc., to furnish and install security and access control systems and related equipment for the Miami Gardens Community Center in an amount not to exceed $67,474.80. A copy of the proposal document is available for review at the office of the Assistant to the Mayor and Council. Proposed Action: It is recommended that City Council approve the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract with Access Limited Inc., to design, provide, and install the complete Card Access, Camera and Security Integration System for the Miami Gardens Community Center in an amount not to exceed $67,474.80.
