Lisa Davis Department: Mayor and City Council Short Title: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA APPOINTING DAHLIA W. LOCKHART TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE FRIENDS OF MIAMI GARDENS, INC.; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Summary: On November 10, 2009, the City Council authorized the formation
of a non-profit entity to seek grant opportunities, and to establish partnerships for the implementation of educational and cultural programs within the City of Miami Gardens. On February
9, 2010, the Friends of Miami Gardens, Inc. was incorporated for this purpose. Pursuant to the Articles of Incorporation, the Mayor and City Council are to jointly appoint individuals
to the initial Board of Directors. Councilwoman Lisa Davis recommends that the City Council appoint Dahlia W. Lockhart to the Board of Directors of the Friends of Miami Gardens, Inc.
