A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN LINDA JULIEN'S PUBLIC AFFAIRS
ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE
HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($350.00) TO MORE THAN
PINK WALK; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Linda Julien, in an effort to support the work of the
Susan G. Komen Foundation, and
WHEREAS, on Saturday, October 14, 2023 a community walk will take place in
support of raising funds for those persons battling various types of cancer, and
WHEREAS, this donation will assist More Than Pink Walk in fulfilling its
commitment of service to persons battling with cancer, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Julien is requesting an allocation of Three Hundred
and Fifty Dollars ($350.00) from the Seat 5’s Public Affairs account to More Than Pink
Walk,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Councilwoman Linda Julien's Public Affairs Account in an
amount not to exceed Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($350.00) to More Than Pink Walk.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2023.
