A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN STEPHENS’ SPECIAL EVENTS/ PUBLIC
AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500) IN SUPPORT
OF AWARDING FOUR ENTREPRENEURS AND COMMUNITY
LEADERS’ ADMISSION TO THE OPTIMIZE CONFERENCE
2023; PROVIDING FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CITY CLERK;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, professional development conferences often ensure that attendees
keep up with the latest advances in their field of profession and position themselves as a
thought leader, and
WHEREAS, the OPTIMIZE Conference 2023 is a region-shifting, power-filled,
information-driven, and strategy-filled two-day summit for Leaders and Entrepreneurs,
and
WHEREAS, the OPTIMIZE Conference 2023 exists to provide leaders and team
members with creative and cutting-edge ways to do business with subjects from effective
planning, creative budgeting, low-budget high-impact outreach, production, and
developing systems discussed by teams and leaders from around the country, and
WHEREAS, the OPTIMIZE Conference 2023 will take place Friday, October 6th
and Saturday, October 7th and is open to the public, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Robert Stephens is requesting funds from his Special
Events/ Public Affairs account in the amount of $2,500 in support of awarding four
entrepreneurs and community leaders’ admission to the Optimize Conference 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) from
the Seat 6 Special Events/Public Affairs Account in support of awarding four
entrepreneurs and community leaders’ admission to the Optimize Conference 2023.

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2023.
