A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN REGGIE LEONS’ FORMULA ONE COMMUNITY
FUND ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,000.00), IN SUPPORT OF MIAMI
NORLAND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TOP ACHIEVERS’
CELEBRATION LUNCHEON, NUNC PRO TUNC; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, Miami Norland Senior High
School hosted a Top Achievers Celebration Luncheon. This celebration aimed to endorse
the success of high achieving students, emphasizing the positive influence on their lives
and work ethics. By fostering the academic excellence of these students it will promote
long term benefits to the community, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon believes in supporting the success and
dreams of young and talented minds. Councilman Leon knows that recognizing and
celebrating the achievements of top performing students it will inspire other students to
strive for similar success, thereby promoting a culture of continuous learning and
achievement within the community, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon is requesting a sponsorship not to exceed
three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) from his Formula One Community fund account for
the purpose of supporting the Miami Norland Senior High School Top Achievers
Celebration Luncheon,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Seat 2 Formula One Community fund account three
thousand dollars ($3,000.00), to support the Miami Norland Senior High School Top
Achievers Celebration Luncheon, nunc pro tunc
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 13, 2023.
