A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING THREE
THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE DOLLARS
($3,435) FROM COUNCILMAN REGGIE LEON’S FORMULA
ONE COMMUNITY FUND ACCOUNT TO SUPPORT
COMMUNITY FUNDRAISERS; NUNC PRO TUNC; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Annually, Councilman Reggie Leon spearheads efforts to create a
significant difference in the community, backing various community fundraisers that
promote positive progress and advancement, and
WHEREAS, the following community fundraisers will each receive a donation;
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and W.I.S.H Foundation ($1,250), Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority Inc. Pearls of the Magic City Chartering Celebration/Publication ($1,185), Zeta
Phi Beta Sorority Inc./Zeta Blue Network Sapphire Soiree Scholarship Fundraiser
($1,000), and
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon is requesting a sponsorship not to exceed
three thousand four hundred and thirty-five dollars ($3,435) from his Formula One
Community fund account for the purpose of supporting community fundraisers,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby[LW1] allocates funds from Seat 2 Formula One Community fund account for three
thousand four hundred and thirty-five dollars ($3,435), to support community fundraisers,
nunc pro tunc
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 14, 2024.
