A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN LINDA JULIEN'S PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIAL
EVENTS ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF EIGHT HUNDRED
AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($850.00), NUNC PRO TUNC, FOR A
HOLIDAY FOOD DISTRIBUTION; PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION
OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Linda Julien organized a hot food distribution event at
Caribbean Kitchen 305 restaurant on Saturday, December 23, 2023 aimed at fostering
the spirit of community and support during the holiday season, and
WHEREAS, the event not only provided hot food items to residents but also
highlighted the significant role that small businesses play in the fabric of Miami Gardens,
and
WHEREAS, additionally, this event served to recognize the importance of
supporting small businesses within the city and to reaffirm the council's commitment to
community welfare and economic vitality, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Julien is requesting that the costs associated with the
food distribution be allocated from for Public Affairs Special Events account in the amount
of eight hundred and fifty dollars, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby supports allocation of funds from Councilwoman Julien’s Public Affars Special
Events account in the amount eight hundred and fifty dollars in support of her holiday food
distribution event.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON .
