A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO KELLY
TRACTOR CO., FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) BACKHOE
LOADER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FLORIDA SHERIFFS
ASSOCIATION BID # FSA23-EQU21.0, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND SIX
HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ($121,660); PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, this Public Works’ backhoe-loader will need to be replaced as a result
of, frequency of repairs, recurring transmission problems, and general wear and tear, and
WHEREAS, the purchase of this one (1) backhoe-loader equipment is being
presented to Council for award in accordance with the Florida Sheriffs Association
competitively solicited contract - # FSA23-EQU21.0, and
WHEREAS, funding for the replacement will come from the Stormwater's Budget
(#401-41-03-538-640-00) at a cost of $121,660.00, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City
Manager to issue a purchase order to Kelly Tractor for the purchase of one Backhoe-
Loader, in accordance with the Florida Sheriffs Association bid # FSA23-EQU21.0:
Equipment, in an amount totaling $121,660,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue a purchase order to Kelly Tractor Co., for
the purchase of one (1) Backhoe Loader, in accordance with the Florida Sheriffs
Association Bid # FSA23-EQU21.0, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-
One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Dollars ($121,660).
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 14, 2024.
