A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST
RESPECTIVELY, THAT CERTAIN AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS AND
SFM SERVICES, INC., FOR ADDITIONAL CLEANING
SERVICES, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AS
EXHIBIT “A”; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 21-22-002 Annual Maintenance
Contract Janitorial Services Citywide was advertised via Bidsync on October 19, 2021,
and
WHEREAS, 14 proposals were received in response to the solicitation, and
WHEREAS, the appointed Evaluation Committee scored and ranked Sunshine
Cleaning Systems, Inc., as the primary vendor and SFM Services, Inc., as the secondary
vendor, and
WHEREAS, due to recurring performance concerns an agreement was
subsequently negotiated and executed with the secondary vendor pursuant to resolution
2022-026-3739, and
WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 adds frequency and additional cleaning services to
that agreement, and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the City Council approves the item and
authorize the City Manager to execute the Amendment,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute and attest respectively,
that certain Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement between the City of Miami Gardens and
SFM Services, Inc., for additional cleaning services, a copy of which is attached hereto
as Exhibit “A”.

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 14, 2024.
