A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS
SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1000) TO THE CITRUS
FAMILY NETWORK THIRD ANNUAL BLACK TIE AND SNEAKER
BALL; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS, PROVIDNG FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Citrus Family Care Network is a Federally Qualified Health Center
organization located in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties dedicated to providing services
to at-risk youth and by providing youth dresses, suits, and sneakers, and
WHEREAS, the Citrus Family Care Network was founded in 1979 and has
provided services to children on welfare for nearly 30 years, and
WHEREAS, in an effort to support the Citrus Family Care Network, Councilwoman
Shannon Campbell would like to donate one thousand dollars ($1,000) from the Seat 1
Public Affairs Special Event Account to the Citrus Family Care Network Annual Black Tie
and Sneaker Ball taking place on Saturday, June 15 2024, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize the allocation of one thousand dollars ($1,000) from the Seat 1 Public
Affairs Special Events Account to the Citrus Family Care Network in support of their
Annual Black Tie and Sneaker Ball taking place on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON APRIL 10, 2024.
