A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE USE AND
WAIVER OF ALL COST ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF THE
SHOWMOBILE AND COST ASSOCIATED WITH LAW
ENFORCEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE MIAMI
CAROL CITY SENIOR HIGH CHIEF HALL ALUMNI
ASSOCIATION’S COMMUNITY PICNIC ON SATURDAY, APRIL
13, 2024; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Miami Carol City Chief Hall Alumni Association’s Picnic is an
annual gathering of thousands of former and current students, staff, and community
members who of that celebrates the shared experiences and memories of alumni from
Miami Carol City Senior High School, and
WHEREAS, The picnic also serves as a platform to honor and recognize notable
alumni professional achievements and successes, whether in academics, athletics, the
workplace or through community service, and
WHEREAS, It fosters a sense of pride and unity among former students, thereby
reinforcing their bond with Miami Carol City Senior High School and its legacy, and
WHEREAS, This event is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 7:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m. at Walt Frazier Park, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Wilson recommends that the City Council approve this
resolution, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: It is recommended that Council approve this
Resolution supporting Miami Carol City Senior High School "CHIEF HALL" Alumni Picnic
and waive all fees associated with the use of the City of Miami Gardens Showmobile and
law enforcement.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
