Staff Summary: With the declining economy, rising unemployment and reductions in municipal maintenance funds, there is a noticeable increase in graffiti and vandalism across Miami Dade County. The City of Miami Gardens currently has an ordinance prohibiting graffiti on any public or private building. Miami‐Dade County is requesting that Cities adopt a zero tolerance policy in support of the eradication, enforcement, and prevention of graffiti, to ensure that the standards and safety of the residents and business owners remain intact.
