Staff Summary: Background On May 27, 2011 the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Software House International (SHI), Inc for the licenses of all Microsoft Products used by the City. The procurement of these licenses was done in accordance with State of Florida Contract #252 ‐001 ‐09 ‐1. These Micro soft products are used on over 600 City ‐issued computers, servers, and other Information Technology (IT) devices. The original contract with SHI executed in May of 2011 for the software licenses ITEM K-4) CONSENT AGENDA RESOLUTION P.O. to SHI International Corp. 1515 NW 167 Street, Building 5 Suite 200 Miami Gardens, Florida 33169 was for a 3 year period (2011 ‐2014), with renewals to be done annually, based on the number of licenses needed for that year. Current Situation The annual payment due to SHI for the upcoming year is $158,334.28. This amount reflects a slight decrease from last year, resulting from the migration of the City’s email to the Cloud. A resolution is required authorizing the City Manager to execute the contract renewal with SHI for licenses of all City ‐owned Microsoft Products. Proposed Action: That the City Council approve the proposed resolution.
