As this v ehicle’s use/lease agreement is nearing its term expiration, the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) has made a replacem ent vehicle available for the Department to utilize for this purpose, at no cost to the City. ITEM I-10) CONSENT AGENDA RESOLUTION Agreement w/ National Insurance Crime Bureau   1515  NW  167  Street, Building  5  Suite  200    Miami  Gardens, Florida  33169    The use of this vehicle and its technology is an integral part of the police department’s arsenal of tools to combat auto theft and vehicle burglaries. The vehicle that is being provided for a temporary use/lease is valued at approximately $59,000 and is being offered at no cost to the City of Miami Gardens (CMG), though it will be insured through regular CMG channels for a period of one year. The year, make and model of the vehicle is not noted to prev ent public disclosure of this vehicle. Proposed Action: That the City Council approves the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a vehicle lease/use agreement with NICB to allo w for the use of a bait and surveillance vehicle.
