On theabo9ve date, Ty Stanley, builder for the new dorms at FMU, asked for a TCO for the project. I met with him at the Building Department and explained that I had an issue with the
superintendent over lax maintenance of the site’s sediment and erosion controls. I also stated they were supposed to have a retaining wall at the south property boundary, but as of
yesterday no wall has been constructed. I refused to grant the TCO based on a lack of information on this wall.
Mr Stanley then explained that it was not a wall they were supposed to construct, but an elevation that would capture the 25 year storm, as required in their DERM/SFWMD permit. According
to Mr. Stanley, they are going to place an earthen berm to an elevation of 7.7’at this property boundary at the last stage of this project.
Based on this information from Mr. Stanley, I then agreed to approved the TCO, which I did.
