Staff Summary:  On May 14, 2008, the City Council adopted an Ordinance, which established the Miami Gardens Progressive Young Adults Committee (“MGPYA”). On May 8, 2013, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2013-10-298 to sunset the committee due to lack of appointments and lack of ITEM I-1) ORDINANCE SECOND READING/PUBLIC HEARING Progressive Young Adults Committee   1515 NW 167 Street, Building 5 Suite 200    Miami Gardens, Florida 33169    2    quorums. Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro recommends that the City reestablish the MGPYA. Councilman Ighodaro recommends limiting committee meetings to every other month. In addition, the proposed membership composition will allow members under the age of 40 to serve on the MGPYA, as previously members were required to be enrolled in college. Proposed Action:    That the City Council adopts the proposed Ordinance. Attachment:    None.
