(SPONSORED BY COUNCILMAN ERHABORIGHODARO) Motion offered by Mayor Gilbert, seconded by Councilmen Harris and Williams to adopt this item. Mayor Gilbert opined it is a good idea to promote events in the city because we have to see Miami Gardens as a destination spot. This will give not only our residents but others a reason to come here for something other than a football game or Jazz in the Gardens. That is why such events as this item as well as the Food and Wine Experience are taking place. He cautioned that there is a budgetary impact. If there is an extraordinary budgetary impact the item needs to reflect that. He emphasized that the Council needs to be cognizant of the budgetary impact. Councilwoman Odom inquired about the time for this event, which is mentioned as 1:00 PM — 12:00 AM. She further asked whether this event would interfere with the current schedule already in place at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreation Center.
